Jonathan the Storyteller
Performance Description
Jonathan Kruk is a theatrical storyteller especially for children. Using varied voices, audience interaction, movement, drama and skits, he entertains and enchants. He tells a world of tales, ranging finger fables to The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.
Jonathan offers a variety of programs. He is known for his Hudson River lore, performing The Legend of Sleepy Hollow for Historic Hudson Valley every Halloween. He tells tales o ghosts the American Revolution and colonial times. Corporate event planners find these programs entertaining at conferences. Dressed in the full regalia of a 1770's "macaroni" Jonathan relates the classic Americna haunted tale and many more.
Further, jonathan's assembly performances engage and educate school children. He tailors programds to meet curricular goals. He tells world fairy tales to younger children. Tall Tales and urban legends inspire older children to write.
His program, Medieval Manner and Manors features mystery tales listeners must solve. There are costumed skits, Jonathan creates with his audience. The performance includes a humorous knighting ceremony.
Finger Fables is a highly interactive program for very young children. Preschoolers are guided to use their fingers and faces to help tell tales.
He is described often as a storyteller mix of Viggo Mortensen and Robin Williams.
Jonathan's tales of heart lost giants, peanutbutter and jellyfish, and knot nosed witches bring families together to listen laugh and learn. .

Both assemblies (K-2 and 3-5) were an enormous success. Some of the adjectives used by teachers to describe your storytelling were: "riveting" "fabulous", "wonderful" and "fun".
